Breaking News: China Entry Quarantine Time Shorten to 7+3

Close contacts and inbound travelers’ quarantine time is finally shorter. From “14 days of centralized isolation medical observation + 7 days of home quarantine” we have come to “7 days of centralized isolation medical observation + 3 days of home quarantine”.

Nucleic acid testing measures are almost the same as before. You still need centralized isolation medical observation on days 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7. During home quarantine, you need nucleic acid testing on day 3, and a collection of oropharyngeal swabs.

Close contact control measures went from “7 days of centralized isolation medical observation” to “7 days of home quarantine”. This measure includes nucleic acid testing on days 1, 4, and 7.

If everything goes as planned, we should expect a full opening in March 2023.
