Latest Visa Application Methods For Foreigners Entering China

METHOD 1: BUSINESS ROUTE

Take the provincial PU invitation letter + WHO-approved vaccination certificate (or the certificate on inoculating the Chinese vaccine + valid APEC Business Travel Card) to apply for the M visa.

Note:

This method is not applicable to family members and peers and it is difficult. It must be foreign executives who join large companies or participate in major projects.

METHOD 2: WORK ROUTE

Take the provincial PU invitation letter + WHO-approved vaccination certificate (or the certificate on inoculating the Chinese vaccine) and the foreigner work permit notice to apply for a work visa to enter China.

Note:

This method is applicable to family members and peers, which is better than the policy in May 2021,but it is still difficult.

METHOD 3: HIGH-END TALENT ROUTE

Take the Letter of Confirmation for Highly Qualified Foreigners to apply for a Talent visa for entry.

Note:

There is no new change in this method.

METHOD 4: EMERGENCY HUMANITARIAN ACCESS ROUTE

Direct relatives within three generations can apply for a Q2 visa to enter the country if their relatives are deceased or critically ill.

Note:

There is no change in this method.

METHOD 5: FAMILY REUNION ROUTE

Take the certificate on inoculating the Chinese vaccine and proof of relationship to get a Q1 visa for entry.

Note:

The method 5 is applicable to the foreign family members of Chinese people. There is no new change this time. However, for the foreign family members of foreigners who have worked in Shanghai to apply for S1 or S2 visa, you can try to apply for it with PU invitation letter (family member) + relationship certificate ++ WHO –approved vaccination certificate.
