From January 14, 2022, the mailing fee (production fee) of the Shanghai Exit and Entry Administration will be raised from 12 yuan to 15 yuan.

According to agency experience, the certificate of non-criminal record of foreigners in Shanghai can be handled at the Exit and Entry Administration Bureau. However, after issuing a criminal record, one needs final notarization from the notary office.

In some areas, such as Shanghai Pudong, if you do not have a work permit, but have another type of residence permit, you will need to provide a foreigner’s physical examination form to apply for a work permit when you renew your residence permit.
