INSTRUCTIONS FOR M VISA EXTENSION AND RENEWAL APPLICATION
1. APPLICATION OBJECT
Foreigners coming to China for business and trade activities.
2. APPLICATION MATERIALS AND REQUIREMENTS
– Valid passport;
– Fill in the application form;
– Temporary accommodation registration form;
– Submit the business license of the inviting unit in China or the registration certificate of the Permanent Representative Office of foreign enterprises, etc.;
– When applying again, if the reception unit remains unchanged, the business license or registration certificate may be exempted;
– For M visa holders, submit the letter of opinion issued by the inviting and receiving units or individuals agreeing to apply for visa certificates. The letter shall explain the details of the applicant’s visit to China, and the content shall be comprehensive and detailed. If the partner is an individual, the letter issued shall be signed and submitted to the city’s household register (or residence card, residence permit, and work residence permit).
3. APPLICATION TIME LIMIT
Those applying for an M visa extension may apply for an extension of stay for a maximum of 180 days.
The extension of the visa stay period is only valid for this entry, does not affect the entry times and entry validity of the original visa, and the cumulative extended stay period does not exceed the stay period indicated in the original visa.
ATTENTION:
– Original and copies of the application documents;
– Relevant documents in foreign languages (except English) shall translate into Chinese;
– The Exit-Entry Administration Department of the Public security organ may verify the authenticity of the application through an interview, telephone inquiry, field investigation, etc.
– The decision made by the Exit-Entry Administration of the Public security organ (no extending, renewing, or reissuing visas, no applying for foreigner’s residence certificates, and no extending the period of residence) shall be the final decision.
