The extension of foreigners’ work permits and residence permits will be issued from the expiration date of the current certificate. Therefore, whether it is extended three months or one month in advance, the final result will be the same.

The resume of nearly 10 years shall be supplemented when applying for a work permit.

Recently, when applying for work permits in Fengxian District, Shanghai, it was required to fill in the information of foreign applicants for nearly 10 years.

Specific industries may be rejected when applying for work permits.

For example, a foreigner runs a travel company. He submitted materials according to the normal application process, but the work permit was declined. After asking around, it was suggested that he should submit effective business materials (tourism business license), and afterward, he successfully applied for a one-year work permit.

Foreigners need to provide 2-inch color photos with white background for a residence permit, and they must be newly taken.

Each subway station has a Photo-Me machine. You can take photos there. Just choose the visa photo – Chinese passport size.

More stringent review of visa.

When applying for or extending the reunion visa, the entry-exit department will check the household register or residence permit of the family members, and the applicant is required to provide relevant materials (such as proof of parent-child relationship). The family members visiting relatives (Chinese or foreigners holding permanent residence) need to live for a long time in the place of application.
